The exhibition ‘Astonish Me’, at the Kunsthal Rotterdam is a retrospective of work by Philippe Halsman (1906 -1979), one of the greatest photographers of the 20th century. Halsman is well-known for his portraits of famous people and for his collaboration with Salvador Dalí and Alfred Hitchcock.

On Sunday February 28th at 2 pm, Irene Halsman, Philippe Halsmans daughter and co-director of the Halsman Archive, will give a lecture titled ‘Halsman at work’. Hear the behind-the-scenes stories of the making of some of the most memorable images of Philippe Halsman.

The lecture is free of charge with a regular Kunsthal entrance ticket and starts at 2 pm in the Auditorium of the Kunsthal. Please let us know if you join us through reserveren@kunsthal.nl
