Spring holiday
26 February, 2017 11:00 - 5 March, 2017 17:00
Enjoy your spring holiday in the Kunsthal with workshops and family tours, and build the Kunsthal in Minecraft.
Every day: RealityLAB
Try out for yourself the techniques of the artists in the exhibition ‘Hyperrealism’. How do they make their paintings? Get to work with projection and grids and make your own blow-up artwork of everyday objects.
On Sunday and Tuesday there is FamilyLAB from 14:00 to 16:00 hrs. Come and pick up lots more tips & tricks from the Kunsthal tutor!
Family tour Hyperrealism
The artworks in the exhibition ‘Hyperrealism. 50 years of painting’ have been painted to look like photos. This tour will introduce you to true-to-life paintings with everyday objects – sweets, shiny car bumpers, fried eggs and ketchup.
Guided tours HUMAN/DIGITAL
The exhibition is a visual spectacle of artworks on large screens, digital compositions, video projections and three-dimensional work in an attractive black box design – don’t miss it! ‘HUMAN/DIGITAL’ presents the crème de la crème of artists who work at the cutting edge of digital art.
Kunsthal Minecraft for Wizz Kids!
Join in building the Kunsthal in the online computer game Minecraft and make Rotterdam complete. The online ode to the city already has more than 200 buildings, made up of no less than 20 million blocks. It’s high time to add the Kunsthal! Jaron Hoste and Daan Meijer from HMC Network are on the spot every afternoon from 1 to 5 March to lend a helping hand. All you need is your laptop.
