Spend six Sundays this summer enjoying live music and DJs, food & drinks, and fashion & art in the free open air festival KUNSTHAL LIVE ON SUNDAY. On Sunday 14 July Kunsthal LIVE will open with Joshua J and his wavy soul sound, followed by the soulful Jeangu Macrooy.
This year Joshua J brought out his first EP ‘1998’, his date of birth. The young artist had already come to the attention of none other than rapper and producer Dr. Dre. Joshua J will get you into the right sunny groove for a perfect Sunday in the Museumpark.
After performances at festivals like Lowlands, Eurosonic and the North Sea Jazz Festival, Jeangu Macrooy will take over the stage of Kunsthal LIVE on Sunday 14 July. The soulful artist grew up in Surinam, where he was given his first guitar at the age of 13. He moved to the Netherlands in 2014 to fulfil his musical dream. A collaboration with producer Perquisite and a contract with the label Unexpected Records followed. Jeangu Macrooy has taken the following step in his flourishing career with his latest album, ‘Horizon’. Join him on a musical journey this Sunday.
The hostess of this beautiful day is the actress Imanuelle Grives, while DJ Shug La Sheedah will be ready with a groovy selection to get you dancing between the live acts.

All you can Art
Special Tours & Art
Every Sunday at 14:15 hrs you can take a tour of the exhibition ‘Sweet Dreams’ as seen through the eyes of real Rotterdam influencers. During this special tour – in collaboration with the HipHopHuis – you can discover their passion for hip-hop and streetwear. This time it is not the work in the exhibition that is the centre of attention – although of course you can take a good look at it as well – but the personal story of the duo.
There’s more: the All you can Art artists will be waiting in their outdoor mobile workshop every Sunday to bring out the artist in you. And you can discover nature in the Museumpark with an urban biologist from the Natural History Museum.
The festival warms up every Sunday from 12:00 hrs with a Silent Disco. And children and families can spend a whole afternoon having the time of their lives as Treasure Hunters in and around the Kunsthal building.
REGISTER FOR TOURS
You can register for the tours on the day at the delivery cycle in front of the Kunsthal, but if you want to be sure of a place, send a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with the date and name of the tour. We will let you know whether there is a place as soon as possible.
