From 13 May, the Kunsthal Rotterdam will be presenting the exhibition ‘Prince LOVE LIVE’ as a tribute to the singer, who died last year. His musical legacy is kept alive through the enduring love and passion of his admirers. Memories of his live shows are shared in the exhibition. With over 230 memorabilia ranging from concert tickets to unique collectors’ items, Prince LOVE LIVE is a testament to the dedication that Prince the artist continues to inspires in his fans.

Prince in the Netherlands

Prince performed regularly in the Netherlands during his musical career, which lasted over forty years, building an increasingly large fan base during gigs at Dutch concert venues Ahoy (1986) and De Kuip (1988). Tour gear such as posters, photographs and merchandise from these and other concerts have been collected intensively over the years. Almost all the objects displayed in the exhibition are from collections belonging to his most loyal fans. Videos of interviews with well-known and unknown people who worked with Prince (including Lois Lane) will also be shown. Fans, too, will have the opportunity to talk about their favourite songs and most special Prince memories. The love felt for Prince is clearly apparent in the special items that make up this small-scale, personal exhibition created with, for and by his fans.
