Deze expositie is een overzicht van zijn oeuvre door hem zelf geselecteerd en omvat 185 afbeeldingen. Nooit eerder getoond en gepubliceerd is een tiental bijzondere foto's die hij begin jaren zestig in Nederland maakte.

Jubileumtentoonstelling voor vooraanstaande Mexicaanse fotograaf

Bravo's carrière begon in post-revolutionair Mexico, toen Mexico-stad groeide tot een internationaal centrum van kunstenaars en intellectuelen. Net zoals zijn tijdgenoten Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros en José Clemente Orozco, werd Bravo beïnvloed door de intrigerende Mexicaanse cultuur, maar hij stond ook open voor invloeden van buiten. Hij combineerde elementen en creëerde een eigen stijl die cultuur, tijd en plaats oversteeg. De tentoonstelling omvat de steeds terugkomende thema's, zoals sympathie voor de arbeidersklasse, mystieke sferen en surrealiteit, en de dood. Deze onderwerpen verbeeldde Bravo in landschappen, het dagelijks leven van de mensen, en objecten met culturele of religieuze waarde.
