13 December, 2025 10:00 - 11:00

Join us on Saturday 13 December for an Artist Talk with the renowned artist David Shrigley (1968). Known for his deadpan drawings, absurd installations, and sharp observations, Shrigley offers a humorous yet critical look at life and the art world. During the Artist Talk he gives you a glimpse into his mind, showing that for him, being an artist is not about lofty genius, but about a process of experimentation and reflection.

For the exhibition What the Hell Was I Thinking at Kunsthal Rotterdam, Shrigley brings together a wide selection of his characteristically unconventional works, presenting them in new forms. From a three-metre-high nude model and inflatable sculptures to meteorite horseshoes and tufts of fluff locked in battle – through witty commentary he explores failure, doubt, and the art of the everyday. The result is Shrigley at his finest: work that makes you laugh, unsettles you, and prompts reflection.
