On Saturday, May 13 at 15:00 hours, Raul Balai will be talking to Dion Rosina about his practice and mural The Revisitation he created at the Kunsthal in HALL 6.
In his work, Dion searches for strange stories and unexplained phenomenons, as well as collecting significant figures and moments in history. By putting these images together, he subverts the original story and creates an even wilder narrative. For his work The Revisitation, he created a mural for which he draws inspiration from myths, spirituality and history in relation to the African diaspora. In this, Rosina uses sampling: a technique in which existing visual material is reused.
