Lend your Museum Card to someone else during national Museum Week! Between 1 and 7 April, you can introduce your neighbor, aunt or best friend to one of your favorite museums. Immerse yourself in the surreal world of Patricia Piccinini and come face to face with hybrid creatures that seem to be a mix of humans and animals. Or have your picture taken in the KunsthalLAB with Princess Arabella, a Black princess with a strong will of her own. Join the various activities and visit the exhibitions In the Black Fantastic and Women's Palette 1900 - 1950. Yiou can discover these exhibitions up to and including Monday 10 April.

IN THE BLACK FANTASTIC

Step into an immersive experience at the intersection of reality and fantasy worlds. In the Black Fantastic shows seductive, exuberant and colourful works by eleven contemporary artists from the African Diaspora. With boundless imagination and technical virtuosity, the artists are addressing racism and social inequality. Inspired by folklore, myth, science fiction, spiritual tradition, and Afrofuturism, they are imagining new worlds and possibilities. WOMEN'S PALETTE 1900 - 1950

Up to and including Monday 10 April
Discover the groundbreaking work of twenty-four Dutch women artists who lived and worked in the vanguard of modern art during the first half of the past century in the exhibition Women's Palette 1900 - 1950. Discover over a hundred works by, among others, Charley Toorop, Lou Loeber, Else Berg, Jacoba van Heemskerck, and Charlotte van Pallandt and find out about the opportunities and obstacles they encountered on their paths.
