FULLY BOOKED - Discover the impressive retrospective of world-renowned Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen (1984) during the NN Opening Breakfast at the Kunsthal. After enjoying a delicious breakfast and a short introduction, you’ll be the very first to explore the exhibition Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses. The NN Opening Breakfast is organized in collaboration with Nationale-Nederlanden, main partner of Kunsthal Rotterdam.

Sculpting the Senses celebrates Van Herpen’s multidisciplinary approach and offers a spectacular overview of her wide-ranging body of work. Her creations are highlighted through nine themes, a 21st-century cabinet of curiosities, and a replica of her Amsterdam atelier. The dazzling exhibition design guides visitors through immersive spaces, accompanied by a multisensory soundscape by Salvador Breed. 

Programme

Breakfast will be served at 8:30 hrs at several long tables in the Kunsthal Café. Enjoy mini croissants with jam and small rolls with toppings such as cheese and egg salad. There will also be yogurt with fruit and granola, along with coffee, tea, and fruit juice. During breakfast you’ll have the opportunity to meet others and enjoy good conversation.

At 9:30 hrs a short introduction to the exhibition Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses will follow, after which the exhibition opens exclusively for participants of the Opening Breakfast (from 10:00 a.m. the Kunsthal opens to the general public).

• Participation costs €25. This includes breakfast, entry to Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses, and access to all other exhibitions at the Kunsthal.
• With a Museumkaart, Rotterdampas or VriendenLoterij VIP Card, the price is €15.

• Would you also like to attend the Artist Talk with Iris van Herpen? For an additional €5 you can book the ticket option Opening Breakfast + Artist Talk. The Artist Talk will take place in the Kunsthal Auditorium, starting at 11:00 hrs and running until around 12:30 hrs.
