7 March, 2026 21:00 - 23:00

FULLY BOOKED, SIGN UP FOR THE WAITING LIST BELOW - This is your chance to literally wear a work of art: score a one-of-a-kind David Shrigley tattoo during Museumnacht010! Are you a fan of Shrigley or always up for a unique tattoo? Then don’t miss your chance during Museumnacht at the Kunsthal. Right in the middle of his exhibition, What the Hell Was I Thinking?, the artist will draw a tattoo live on your skin. Sign up now!

How does it work?

On Saturday evening, 7 March, you give British artist David Shrigley one idea or subject. It can be anything: a banana, your favourite animal, work stress or a brilliantly bad idea. Shrigley translates your input directly into a unique drawing on your skin. No flashes. No examples. No revisions. What he draws is what you get.

After that, the tattoo artists from Stay Classy Tattoo take over and make the design permanent on the spot. Shrigley’s team will photograph your tattoo for his famous online tattoo wall of fame.

Participation

  • Drawing: 21:00–22:30 hrs, tattooing until approximately 23:00 hrs.
  • Participation is free; no Museumnacht010 ticket required.
  • Register by 2 March (full = full).
  • You will receive confirmation within 2 working days confirming if you have been selected.
  • After selection, you will receive all practical information (like timeslot).

  • The tattoo will be placed on your arm or leg, up to 5 cm in size, in black ink.
