- CANCELED - Discover the vibrant world of German Expressionist painter Max Pechstein in the exhibition Max Pechstein. Expression of Harmony. From bright blue waterfalls and tropical flowers to powerful portraits and memories of distant travels — his colourful paintings are full of life and emotion. Afterwards, get creative yourself: paint or draw in Pechstein’s bold style using vivid colours, strong lines, and wild brushstrokes.

Unfortunately, the workshops on 8 and 9 June cannot take place due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the Max Drawing Studio will still be open, and you're very welcome to get creative on your own!

Create your own expressionist portrait, paint the Museum Park, or capture a favourite holiday memory. Take your artwork home afterwards or display it in the Max Drawing Studio at the end of the exhibition.

Max Pechstein. Expression of Harmony

Max Pechstein zijn werk weerspiegelt een zoektocht naar harmonie tussen mens en natuur en reflecteert op een tijdperk van ingrijpende veranderingen in Europa, waaronder de onderdrukking van zijn kunst door het naziregime. De tentoonstelling Expression of Harmony presenteert ruim vijftig schilderijen, aangevuld met prenten, houtsneden, tekeningen, foto’s en persoonlijke voorwerpen, en biedt een uniek inzicht in het leven en oeuvre van Pechstein.
