An increasing number of women in the Netherlands are making their way to the top in government and in the world of industry and commerce, but only one-fifth of working Dutch women have a full-time job. Many working mothers still prefer to work part-time. All the same, that is now changing slowly and we find more and more women in top positions. The Dutch economic research programme ‘Stand van Nederland’ on the emancipation of the labour market with an illustrative interview with Emily Ansenk (Kunsthal director), Eugenie van Wiechen (general director FD media group) and Ruth Rottine (marketing consultant).
