For Friday Night LIVE, the Kunsthal will hand over the keys and offer a platform to a Rotterdam partner active in the fields of film, spoken word, dance, music, fashion, and theatre. Alongside a vibrant programme, all exhibitions will remain open until 22:00 hrs, including Sylvie Fleury. Yes to All and Universal Tongue by Anouk Kruithof. Luna Morgenstern

Amsterdam-based and Cologne-born, self-thaught bedroom producer, songwriter and artist Luna Morgenstern creates alternative pop music that translates the emotions of love, loss and the challenges faced by a young woman in the modern world. With her powerful melodies and delicate vocals, Luna creates a world where she mixes hyper-pop with dance anthems. Raw, emotive lyrics tell Luna's personal stories while the uplifting beats remind you of a night out in Berlin.

Elemental Exchange

Amenti Theatre Company
Elemental Exchange is an unique dance experience wherein first meetings between people are a vital concept. An authentic and pure moment in which two souls lie a connection with each other. The concept originates from the urban scene, in which people normally battle with each other. With Elemental Exchange, the competition element is omitted and the emphasis is on exchange and inspiration. During the performance, the dancers will be invited to find each other synergistically on the sounds of both a live musician and DJ (and dancer), Gil the Grid.

Baby's Berserk

The lush compositions of Baby's Berserk, consisting of Mano Hollestelle, Lieselot Elzinga, Puggy Beales and Eva Wijnbergen, are designed for rock halls and dance clubs alike. The bass-driven grooves and computer-driven beats will mesmerise everyone within earshot and tell you that it's totally fine to have fun in your life! In the grand tradition of from Roxy Music, Throbbing Gristle and Malcom McLaren, Baby's Berserk like to mix their sound with fashion. Have you always wanted to see an electonic band perform in a mix of haute couture and Flinstone-style rags? That's Baby's Berserk!

Under My Umbrella

Let yourself be surprised by pop-up performances from Under My Umbrella during Friday Night LIVE. Under My Umbrella is a creative platform that provides a stage for the members of the Dutch ballroom scene to develop as artists and makers. Just like an umbrella, Ballroom forms a space where we can escape the rain. It welcomes and celebrates what is often overlooked and not understood whether this is our cultural background, identity or sexuality.

Motel Mozaique

Motel Mozaïque is a cultural organisation that connects people through music, art and performance. Over the years, Motel Mozaïque developed many projects in the city, such as Bazar Curieux, MOMO Fabrique, and collaborations with an extensive network of artists and cultural organisations locally, nationally and internationally. Key activities include MOMO Festival, MOMO Concerts, a series of live music events throughout the year, and MOMO Create, a talent development project.

Friday Night LIVE x Motel Mozaïque is a festival venue of MOMO festival 2024. Visitors with a MOMO festival ticket will have access to the event. Read more about MOMO festival 2024 here.
