Every third Friday of the month, you're welcome at the Kunsthal for an exciting and inspiring programme infused with a generous dose of art. All exhibitions are open until 22:00 hrs and each edition is curated by a different Rotterdam-based partner. On Friday 16 October Theater Rotterdam takes over the Kunsthal! The exhibition Theater Rotterdam: (Sur)render serves as the source of inspiration and will be brought to life in surprising ways this evening!
During Friday Night LIVE, the collaboration between Kunsthal and Theater Rotterdam takes centre stage. Enjoy the beats of DJ Lovesupreme in the Kunsthal Café, join an artist talk with theatre maker and choreographer Alida Dors, be surprised by a dance performance by choreographer Junadry Leocaria, or listen to a lecture by Selçuk Balamir. With the sensory introduction Come to Your Senses, you’ll prepare yourself for the exhibition (Sur)render in HAL 4 of the Kunsthal.

About Theater Rotterdam: (Sur)render
How can you transfer a live performance to an exhibition space? Taking the successful performance (Sur)render by theatre maker and choreographer Alida Dors as their point of departure, Kunsthal Rotterdam and Theater Rotterdam have joined forces to engage in an extraordinary experiment. The multidisciplinary theatrical production will be translated into an immersive exhibition; you will not only experience the performance’s subject matter as a spectator, but will become part of it yourself.
