2 March, 2024 - 30 June, 2024

Families and children can be creative every day in the KunsthalLAB. The themes of the assignments change and are related to the exhibitions. This time, the lab is dedicated to the exhibition Mark Janssen. Home on earth.

Make your own cover for Mark Janssen's picture book Home (2023), or let your imagination run wild while working on a colouring sheet designed by the children’s book illustrator and maker of picture books. Inspired by his book Weird (2019), you can create the most bizarre mirror image you can come up with. And of course there will be books as well: in the special reading nook, both young and old can delve into a selection of books by Mark Janssen.

WHAT?

In the KunsthalLAB, everyone can work on their own everyday. The themes of the activities change according to the exhibitions. This time, the lab is dedicated to the exhibition Mark Janssen. Home on earth.

FOR WHO?

For everyone, of all ages.

WHERE?

At the KunsthalLAB, halfway up the ramp in the Auditorium.

Mark Janssen. Home on earth

Explore our fascinating planet through the eyes of Ava, a little girl who takes a creature from outer space called Moon on a tour of the earth. The exhibition shows the fairytale-like work of children's book illustrator and maker of picture books Mark Janssen. Immerse yourself in the joyful world of these two new-found friends and learn more about Janssen's working process.
