Walk-in workshop Look different for once! (8 years and older)

Tuesday 2 May, Thursday 4 May and Saturday 6 May
Haus-Rucker-Co,   an exuberant and rebellious Vienna-based collective of architects and artists, challenges people to look at the world around them in a different way. For example, they made The Flyhead (1968), a special pair of glasses that allows you to view everything around you with insect eyes. What would it be like to see the world with different eyes? Try it out! Choose a pair of glasses or an accessory and draw a picture of what you see. Does this look different than normal?

  • Tuesday 2 May from 12:00 - 16:00 hrs
  • Thursday 4 May from 12:00 - 16:00 hrs
  • Saturday 6 May from 12:00 - 16:00 hrs

This drop-in workshop is suitable for children ages eight and up. No registration is necessary, just drop by and join in!

Giant Billiard

Every day
In the new exhibition Mind Expanders, on view starting Saturday, April 29, you will find the legendary installation Giant Billiard. On the 14-by-14-meter white air cushion topped by three giant inflatable balls, anyone taller than 1.20 meters is welcome to play, bounce, climb and dance. On the bouncy surface, you are part of an environment without established rules and manners. A ball with a three-metre diameter may come rolling towards you at a high speed. So what will you do? Will you jump to save your life, allow yourself to be knocked over, or pass the ball to someone else? Come by and find out for yourself!

Stapelgek 010: voor architecten in de dop!

Every day
Be inspired by the imaginative (building) artists Haus-Rucker-Co in the exhibition Mind Expanders. They wanted the world to look like vanilla ice cream: light, fresh, tasty and soft. Sounds good right? Become our newest Kunsthal urban planner and make the city look completely different. Build, move and change the city in a way you like. No one has seen Rotterdam like this before!
