Experience the Kunsthal this May holiday! Dive into the world of flowers in the exhibition Flowers Forever, step into the mind of the absurdist artist David Shrigley, and be surprised by all the other beautiful things the Kunsthal has to offer. There’s plenty to do this spring holiday, so come by for a generous dose of inspiration and fun. Admission is free for youth up to and including 18 years old (just make sure to book your online ticket with a start time in advance!).

Flowers Forever Lab

Every day
With flowers, you can say all kinds of things. You can celebrate something, comfort someone, say thank you, encourage someone, protest something, or simply surprise someone. In the exhibition Flowers Forever, fold a flower for yourself or for someone else. Or pin your flower to the flower wall as a surprise for another Kunsthal visitor. Follow the steps or create your own imaginary flower. Read more about the exhibition here.

Kijk&Doe-tocht David Shrigley (6-12 jaar)

Every day
In the exhibition David Shrigley: What the Hell Was I Thinking?, a free Kijk&Doe-tocht (Look & Do) tour is available. The booklet is filled with funny and sometimes slightly strange assignments, just like the way Shrigley creates his art. Draw a panicking dog, come up with the most worthless prize ever, or give your best friend an imaginary tattoo. With the Kijk&Doe-tocht, you experience the art in your own way. Pick up the booklet at the entrance and go on an adventure!

Drawing life model David Shrigley

Every day
In the exhibition What the Hell Was I Thinking?, one of Shrigley’s Life Models is ready to be sketched. His models deliberately have unusual proportions and sometimes move unexpectedly, so no one has to worry about drawing “well.” Look closely and draw it in your own way. It doesn’t have to be perfect—in fact, it can be a little weird!
