Vincent Bal - Shadowology

Workshop Shadowology

Tuesday 3 May and Wednesday 4 May during opening hours.
Especially for the exhibition ‘A Triple Life’, Job, Joris and Marieke developed the experience ‘Nobody’. It features a character named Florian: an obsessively driven lifestyle Instagrammer who one day becomes transparent and is left as nothing more than a shadow. Are you curious to find out how you can depict shadows yourself? Join the filmmaker and shadowologist Vincent Bal to create special shadow drawings based on everyday objects.
You can join the Shadowology workshop throughout the entire day.

Are you already familiar with the Tumblies, Job Joris & Marieke’s cheerful series for pre-school children? During this workshop we will first watch a couple of episodes and then you can start creating yourself. Not only will you be making an actual stop motion film featuring the Tumblies –which we can immediately watch on the big screen –, but you can also craft your own Tumblie to take home with you!
The duration of the workshop is 60 minutes

Every day
At the KunsthalLAB, families and children can get to work for themselves. The assignments have various themes related to the exhibitions. During the spring holidays you can discover what things you need to set off a chain reaction.
