Live jamsessions with House of Knowledge

During Museum Night 010 artists and musicians will magically transform the Kunsthal Auditorium into a musical playing field. This XL jam session  in collaboration with House of Knowledge is inspired by In the Black Fantastic. Music plays an important role in this exhibition about ‘the Black Fantastic’, with themes that reach far beyond visual art. This night’s imaginative musical collaborations will surely result in the most wonderful things . Led by Junya Appiah, established artists as well as emerging musical talents will be challenging each other on stage. The event will be hosted by Tasha Slagtand, better known as Tasha's World, who will also perform during the jam session. The Amsterdam-Ghanaian producer and multi-instrumentalist Bnnyhunna will be participating too, as well as many others!

Sip 'N Paint

Sip ‘N Paint will be checking each and every box on your creative wish list! Under the supervision of various hosts, this young collective will encourage you to let your creativity run wild. With drinks (cocktails by Stir It Up!) and music already taken care of, the only thing you need to concern yourself with is your empty canvas. You can join this ongoing event at any time during the evening, provided there is room of course. So get there early and make sure you secure a seat on one of the tables.

Making protest sings with Carina Fernandes

Carina Fernandes is a multidisciplinary, creative hurricane known for her bubbly personality and edgy Rotterdam sound. Her art originates from a sense of necessity – it is her cry for freedom. Fernandes will be at the Kunsthal for the entire Museum Night and will be standing by to help you realize your own protest sign. Make yourself heard during Museum Night!

Spoken word workshops and pop-up performance

Find inspiration in the exhibition In the Black Fantastic and participate in the spoken word workshop. With the help of Elten Kiene you can translate your thoughts into your own spoken word piece. The workshops will be starting at 21:00 hrs and 22:00 hrs and last about 30 minutes. During Museum Night you may also discover a pop-up spoken word performance by Elten Kiene and dancer Salva Akrum in the exhibition.
