On Saturday 3 March the Kunsthal and Rotterdam Circus City join forces for A Night at the Circus. Step into the circus ring yourself during Museumnacht010 amid the crazy folly! Using sharp irony and humour the Danish artist Michael Kvium pillories the absurdities in our society. In the exhibition ‘Circus Europe’ he illustrates a world of entertainment in which even the most serious news is characterised by sensation and drama.

Dive into the backstage world of the circus with performances by the Circus Art Codarts artistes. The aerialist Lisa Chudalla will show you that nothing is impossible. Pimp your own (clown) nose and learn from Circus Rotjeknor how to keep all the balls in the air. The Convoi Exceptional outfit will get you steaming and sweating with their energetic improvised sounds and pulsing live beats, followed by the dauntless yodelling, tragic blues and murderous ballads of The Mourning Glories.
