Sun 28 Jun
At theatre festival De Parade

See you later, Illustrator!

For little makers with big ideas! On Sunday 28 June 2026, it is time for a special Parade edition of See you later, Illustrator! Together with poet Wessel Klootwijk and illustrator Yara Ruby, you will create a visual story. Wessel provides the inspiration and Yara brings your ideas to life through drawing. Together with all the children, you decide what story the artwork tells.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

During theatre festival De Parade, poet Wessel starts with a story and illustrator Yara draws it out in real time. While the poet tells the story and the illustrator draws, you get to come up with all kinds of things to add to the story. The funniest, craziest, most beautiful, strangest or scariest ideas: anything goes! And of course, you will also get to draw yourself.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Young artists in the making, aged around 6–12 (and their parents, grandparents or babysitters).
