From Thursday 1 February, in collaborating with Nationale-Nederlanden and Art Rotterdam, Kunsthal Rotterdam is presenting work by the four NN Art Award 2024 nominees. The exhibition will introduce the public to the work of Maaike Kramer, Peim van der Sloot, Jan van der Pol, and Mónica Mays. This prestigious prize is awarded to a talented artist who has been educated in the Netherlands and whose work is presented during the Art Rotterdam art fair. Authenticity and innovation are the main criteria for this annual incentive award.

The jury — consisting of Henk Drosterij (collector), Monali Meher (artist and winner of the NN Art Award 2023), Nicole Ex (editor-in-chief at See All This), Charlotte Martens (curator Kunsthal Rotterdam), and Maartje de Roy van Zuydewijn (curator of the NN Art Collection) — has carefully chosen the four finalists from a selection of 40 entries. The winner will be announced on Thursday evening 1 February during the celebrations on the occasion of 25 years of Art Rotterdam at the Kunsthal. The winner will receive a cash prize of 10,000 euros to be used towards future projects. NN Group will furthermore purchase an artwork from one, or more, of the four nominees for its corporate collection.
