3 July, 2021 17:00 - 18:00

On Saturday 3 July, furniture and product designer Ineke Hans and visual artist Erik Mattijssen will give an Artist Tour of the exhibition Brined Herring, Red Beet. This exclusive tour will take place on the occasion of Rotterdam Art Week. The main language of the tour is Dutch.

In eighteen colourful scenes they intuitively react to each other’s work. For the exhibition, the artists were inspired by everyday objects that tell a story and by their shared love of interiors. During their pas de deux, Ineke Hans and Erik Mattijssen complete, intensify, question or comment on each other. Colour, form and meaning connect 2D-works with 3D-objects in the exhibition. Although their bodies of work are very different, and they have only recently met, there are many similarities to be discovered: Hans and Mattijssen are both storytellers and ardent collectors.

A ticket for this exclusive tour costs €22.50 and includes admission to the Kunsthal and a welcoming drink. The Museumkaart and Rotterdampas are valid.

On the day of the Artist Tour, you can visit all exhibitions at the Kunsthal by showing your ticket. Please book soon, as space is limited.
