13 November, 2021 - 14 November, 2021

In the weekend of November 13 and 14, the project 'Art Sleepover' will be concluded with the final presentation 'Visual Echo' in the Auditorium of the Kunsthal. Art Sleepover is a new special project of All you can Art, in cooperation with the Rijksdienst voor het Cultureel Erfgoed (RCE).

For a period of eight weeks, five artworks from the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands are staying in the homes of various Rotterdammers. During the sleepover weeks, students of the Willem de Kooning Academy visit the households within these communities and look for inspiration in the objects, their temporary accommodation, and in their conversations with the people who live there. At each of the host addresses, this exciting process between the residents and the artists will subsequently result in a new work of art.

On November 13 and 14, the five artworks from the Rijkscollectie will be exhibited together with the twenty new works in the Auditorium of the Kunsthal. Afterwards, the residents may take their personal new artwork home. Kunst blijft slapen is made possible by the Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie.

By showing a Kunsthal ticket, you can see the presentation and all other exhibitions at the Kunsthal on 13 and 14 November.
