After the success of the special evening opening for the Naked Tour during the exhibition ‘Robert Mapplethorpe, a perfectionist’ last year, Kunsthal Rotterdam is repeating the success formula for the exhibition ‘Hyperrealism Sculpture’, a unique selection of hyperrealistic works by the major sculptors of the last fifty years. The tour on 2 June is fully booked. You can still register for the tour on Saturday 23 June.
The exhibition shows that we way we look at ourselves is changing all the time. The recognisable and accessible human figures offer an intimate reflection on human nature. Standing eye to eye with the sculptures raises questions about how we shape our bodies and their significance. Is this real?
