25 February, 2023 - 5 March, 2023

Experience the Kunsthal during the spring holidays. Immerse yourself in the surrealistic world of Patricia Piccinini and get up close and personal with hybrid creatures that appear to mix human and animal features. Or allow yourself to be transported by the fantastical power of In the Black Fantastic! In HALL 7 the story of Princess Arabella has been brought to life, inspired by the successful children’s book series by writer and illustrator Mylo Freeman. Besides visiting the many exhibitions, there is plenty more to do. Participate in all kinds of activities and workshops, and let your creativity run wild. On Monday 27 February, the Kunsthal will also be open to the public.

LOOK&DO TOUR PATRICIA PICCININI (6 TO 12 YEAR-OLDS)

Every day
Set off on a Look&Do Tour of the exhibition Patricia Piccinini. Metamorphosis. Get up-close and personal with the hyperrealistic sculptures of this Australian artist. You will encounter hybrids between humans and animals: furry, endearing creatures embracing each other, and thousands of fleshy flowers. By working on short assignments, you will discover everything you need to know about Piccinini’s fascinating beings.

SET TO WORK IN THE KunsthalLAB

Every day
Take a plunge in the KunsthalLAB and create your own little crown, just like princess Arabella. Have your picture taken with princess Arabella and her granny Omi in a set inspired by the book, or start colouring in the Princess Arabella at the Kunsthal drawing, especially designed by Mylo Freeman.

Mylo's Musical Picturebook (3 to 7 year-olds)
