Learn how to make fascinating animal creations yourself during the walk-in workshop silkscreen printing by Michael van Kekem. First visit the exhibition We Are Animals, get inspired and then get to work.

An artwork featuring a red and blue animal that has six legs and is taking a nap under a tree? Anything is possible! Poet Wessel will provide inspiration, and illustrator Yara will get to work with your ideas! Together you will be making a creative visual work, and everyone can help decide what story the artwork is telling. Let your imagination run wild: think, fantasise and draw along! Set out on your own with the Look&Do tour of the exhibition We Are Animals, including animal assignments and questions such as ‘What makes an animal cute to you?’ and ‘What animal would you compare yourself to?’

Release your inner beast and design you own, unique animal at the KunsthalLAB! Create a wolphifanterfly, a flamowlcat… or what about a zebriger?

PARTICIPATION

All activities are free of charge upon presentation of a valid Kunsthal admission ticket. There is no need to register in advance for the activities. However, please do book your Kunsthal entry timeslot via www.kunsthal.nl/tickets

LOCATION: LantarenVenster 

Where the Wild Things Are is a film adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s book of the same name. The film is about the nine-year-old Max, a boy with a short fuse. After an argument at home, he decides to run off to his imaginary world. During his journey, Max runs into Carol, a monster with anger issues, just like him. On the occasion of the Kunsthal exhibition We Are Animals, this film is shown at LantarenVenster. Tickets can be booked there.
